Further afield the Coal Valley vineyards, winding bends of the Channel and convict tales of the Tasman Peninsula are just a short drive away.
Stay at Lenna of Hobart and we’ll invite you into a story beginning in the 1860s, when foundations were laid from local sandstone cut from Princes Park next door. Each handmade brick holds a piece of the past. Each room has a story to tell, wrapped in National Trust-classified walls. Hear whispers of grand parties beneath chandeliers still present, and climb the turret where former owner Alexander McGregor kept vigilant watch for his returning ships.
The restored mansion is listed on the Tasmanian Heritage Register as a superb example of early colonial architecture. The delicate restoration preserves Lenna of Hobart’s past while affording generous luxuries of today.

The architecture, character and heritage of Lenna was just wonderful. The gardens were beautiful and will be magnificent during the warmer months!
Especially enjoyed the Bar area, and sitting by the fire, with a drink and a nibble as though relaxing at home. My family joined me and were very impressed also.
We have been staying at the Lenna since our honeymoon 28 years ago and we really enjoy returning when we are in Tasmania – Thankyou
